This is the\u00a0<strong>OEKOTEX STD 100 PPE<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>supplement.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This certification was created because the limits for certain substances<strong>\u00a0(PFAs)<\/strong>\u00a0in the STD 100 have been decreasing to the point where they cannot be met for certain technical fabrics, and there is no sustainable alternative on the market that offers the same protection to users without the use of these substances.<\/p>\n<p>For this reason,\u00a0<strong>OEKOTEX decided to create the STD 100 PPE Supplement label<\/strong>\u00a0for all fabrics that use this substance and are intended to be category III PPE according to the new EU Regulation 2024\/2462 of 19\/09\/2024, which indicates that, as of\u00a0<strong>October 10, 2026<\/strong>, the use of certain compounds of\u00a0<strong>undecafluorohexanoic acid (PFHxA)<\/strong>\u00a0and its salts for certain articles, including textiles, will be at a maximum concentration of 25ppb for the sum of said compounds.
