Incident energy of a material resulting from a 50% probability of failure.<\/li>\n<li>Critical components, items used in the manufacture of flame and electric arc resistant protective clothing<\/li>\n<li>Design test<\/li>\n<li>Fabric ID<\/li>\n<li>Fabric producer<\/li>\n<li>Nominal fabric weight expressed in grams per square meter (ounces per square yard).<\/li>\n<li>Face covering in flame retardant fabric<\/li>\n<li>Thermal risk<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=&#8221;FABRIC REQUIREMENTS&#8221; tab_id=&#8221;1686233675155-f13754c0-68fa&#8221;][vc_column_text woodmart_inline=&#8221;no&#8221; text_larger=&#8221;no&#8221;]<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Carry out the flammability according to standard D6413 before washing in each batch.<\/li>\n<li>Tests will be performed on the original fabric<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=&#8221;CLOTHING REQUIREMENTS&#8221; tab_id=&#8221;1686233715682-044f416f-c046&#8243;][vc_column_text woodmart_inline=&#8221;no&#8221; text_larger=&#8221;no&#8221;]<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Trimmings used in the manufacture of clothing will not contribute to gravity injury to the user from momentary electrical shock, arcing and related thermal exposure.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Sewing thread shall be made of an inherently flame resistant fiber and will not melt below 500\u00b0F (260\u00b0C) when tested in accordance with Test Method D7138.<\/li>\n<li>All drawstring fasteners used in the construction of garments must be flame resistant (500 +14\/-0\u00b0F) and oven exposure time will be 5 min + samples must not melt, drip, separate or ignite.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Visibility enhancements, which are designed to be attached to arc-resistant clothing, must be tested and certified to NFPA 2112 standard for visibility enhancement must be tested:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol>\n<li>For arc flash and seam-through rated garments, they will be tested to be non-leaky or breakable and must demonstrate no more than 2 seconds after flame time per method D6413.<\/li>\n<li>For anti-arc and anti-arc clothing, it is tested after first bonding to the anti-arc fabric used in the garment and does not melt or drip and must not be demonstrated for more than 2s after flame according to method D6413. The carbonization time and the afterglow time will not be measured.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li>The material properties of the garments will conform to the following tables:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;10754&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221; onclick=&#8221;link_image&#8221; parallax_scroll=&#8221;no&#8221; woodmart_inline=&#8221;no&#8221;][vc_column_text woodmart_inline=&#8221;no&#8221; text_larger=&#8221;no&#8221;]<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>All repairs to bow apparel, patches, threads, etc. must be made of materials conforming to this specification.<\/li>\n<li>Garments must be labeled with the following information:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol>\n<li>Complies with F1506 specification<\/li>\n<li>Name of the manufacturer<\/li>\n<li>Tissue identifier. The fabric identifier should provide the information of the fabric producer. This information can be entered in a separate alphanumeric format from Fabric Producer<\/li>\n<li>The components of the garment may be noted on the label by a unique nomenclature<\/li>\n<li>For garments intended to be separated, each separating layer will carry its identification code.<\/li>\n<li>Care instructions and fiber composition<\/li>\n<li>A unique arc rating, either the arc rating (ATPV) or the rating (EBT)<\/li>\n<li>If the garments consist of a single layer of different fabrics, the entire garment with the lowest score will be evaluated.<\/li>\n<li>If the garments consist of multiple layers of fabrics, establish an arc rating for the layer system or the arc rating of the outermost layer. The lowest rating will be given to the entire garment.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li>FR fabric face coverings provide NO required level of arc flash protection for the head, face and neck. If head, face and neck protection is required against arc flash hazards, refer to specification F2178.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=&#8221;FABRIC TEST METHODS&#8221; tab_id=&#8221;1686233997780-3279c45c-dccd&#8221;][vc_column_text woodmart_inline=&#8221;no&#8221; text_larger=&#8221;no&#8221;]<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Breaking load according to standard D5034 and according to the requirements of table 1<\/li>\n<li>Tear resistance according to the D1424 standard and according to the requirements of table 1.<\/li>\n<li>Bursting strength of knitted fabrics per D3786 and Table 2 requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Color fastness to washing. Washing method provided by the manufacturer<\/li>\n<li>FDimensional change as indicated by the manufacturer of the garment without exceeding \u00b1 5% in either direction. For knitted fabrics, not applicable.<\/li>\n<li>Flammability according to standard D6413, for samples both before and after washing No melting and test drop. The length of the charcoal must not exceed 152 mm (6.0 in) and the time after flame must not exceed 2 s. Washing methods: wash 25 times with the following methods NFPA 2112 AATCC Method 135 (3, IV, A iii).<\/li>\n<li>Arc rating per test method F1959\/F1959M. The arc test report will include the weight of the fabric.<\/li>\n<li>When arc tested in accordance with test method F1959\/F1959M, for single layer systems only, post-flame time shall be determined by calculating the average post-flame time of at least least three arc test specimens for which the incident energy is equal to or greater than the ATPV or EBT (as applicable). All test sample arc exposures for which the incident energy is equal to or greater than the ATPV or EBT shall be reported and used in the determination of flame after time.
