New NFPA 2112 certification for 427 RIP-STOP TECVIN

We are pleased to announce that we have added a new certification to our 427 Rip-Stop Tecvin fabric. It’s the NFPA 2112 – the American standard for protection against short-term thermal exposures to fire.

This standard certifies several parameters, including:

Flame resistance test (#ASTM D6413) on the original fabric and after 100 wash cycles.
Heat resistance and thermal shrinkage test (#ASTM F2894) on the original fabric and after 3 wash cycles.
Manikin test (#ASTM F1930) using a coverall and after 1 wash cycle.
Heat Transfer Performance test (HTP) (#ASTM F2700) on the original fabric and after 3 wash cycles.

The 427 Rip-Stop Tecvin is a fabric made of Aramid, Viscose, and Antistatic fibers, offering excellent thermal and mechanical performance, including high tensile and tear strength. It’s a multi-sectoral fabric (used in petrochemical, electrical, forestry, glass, military, police sectors…), which is why we decided to expand its certification scope by obtaining the NFPA 2112 standard. This adds to its existing certifications: EN11612, EN1149-5, EN61482-2, and EN15384 – all certified for both 5 and 50 wash cycles.

At Lenard, we continue our commitment to certifying our fabrics according to the latest standards and market demands.
