Live working – Protective clothing against the thermal hazards of an electric arc – Part 2: Requirements. Equivalence with EN61482-2:2020 & IEC 61482-2:2018.
This standard specifies the protection values that garments and fabrics must comply with against the thermal risks of an electric arc. The protection levels can be used according to the following standards: Open Arc EN 61482-1-1 which records the values of arc rating [ELIM (Incident Energy Limit with No Probability of Burning), ATPV (Arc Thermal Performance Value) and/or EBT (Open Breaking Threshold Energy)] or Box Test EN 61482-1-2 in Class 1 (4 Ka) or Class 2 (7 Ka).
PRE-TREATMENT: 5 cycles according to manufacturer’s instructions (EN 6330/EN 15797)
CONDITIONING: 24 h at 20 ± 2 ºC and 65 ± 5% RH
