UNE-EN ISO 14116:2015

Protective clothing – Protection against flame – Limited flame spread materials, material assemblies and clothing. Equivalence with EN ISO 14116:20115 & ISO 14116:2015.

DEFINITION

This International Standard establishes minimum essential safety requirements and test methods for the protective clothing that must be worn to reduce the possibility of occasional burns and brief contact with small flames. For higher risks, base on the EN 11612 standard. This standard does not cover the requirements for hand protection.

DESIGN

  • Single-layer garments must have a minimum index of 2 or 3 and cannot be in contact with the skin.
  • Requirements according to EN 13688.

MARKING

  • Indicate the number of maximum washes
  • Indicate Complied Index
  • Indicate if it is a single-layer or multi-layer garment.
